The Hull Boys Sunday Football League is proud to support the all4one project
What is the project?
The project which is based in this area, aims to create a long term sustainable sports coaching programme allied to an ongoing league in football and netball in eight communities in North East South Africa. The aim is to create a coaching and mentoring environment which allows all children to achieve and progress in their chosen field.
The project will also raise funds to build a health centre where health screening will be delivered. In an area where infection rates are extremely high for HIV and where TB is the most prolific killer the aim is to engage young people with effective dialogue and education about the issues.
The project will use sport to get young people to engage with health professionals and ensure they receive the support and medication that could save their lives.
We recognise that you all do fantastic jobs in supporting our young people and giving them opportunities to play football in a safe environment however the reality in rural South Africa is very different. There facilities are scarce and life expectancy without medical support is very low, just think if that was the position for our young people.
The bottom line is football can save lives and we can help that process.
How can you help?
Donate spare kit and equipment. I’m sure as coaches we all have spare kit or equipment in our garages or the club store. This is an ideal opportunity to donate it to ensure that it will be put to good use, imagine a team in South Africa playing in one of our local team’s shirts. The charity already have put in place logistical support to deliver any donated equipment.
2 Link up with a local Team. There are real opportunities to link with a local team in their league. The benefits for both sets of kids are huge and the scope of that support can be as big as you wish it to be.
3 Directly donate and support local events. In the near future the website and local media will run details of fund-raising events in support of the project, try and support them if you can.
